Senior SLFP members to meet President today

A meeting is scheduled to be held between President Maithripala Sirisena and several senior parliamentarians of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) today (30), a party source said.
“A lengthy discussion will be held with respect to the forthcoming general election in next August,” the source added.
Meanwhile, a report prepared by the committee which was appointed to coordinate the party’s affairs between the President and former President Mahinda Rajapaksa will also be presented at the meeting, it was reported.
The committee is comprised of Mohan Seneviratne, Dilan Perera, Kumara Welgama, T.B. Ekanayake, Susil Premajayantha and Anura Priyadarshana Yapa.
