Weather Forecast For 5th November 2016
The depression in the Central Bay of Bengal now located about 1000 km to the North east of Sri Lanka. There is no direct effect on Sri Lanka. However showers or thundershowers at times and cloudy skies can be expected to continue at most parts of the island. Heavy falls (more than 100 mm) can be expected at some places, (particularly in the Southern, Central, Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces) until 07th November.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in theSouthern, Central, Western, North-western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Mannar district.
Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly, after 2.00 p.m.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces during the morning.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
