Water Canon and Tear Gas Attack on Disable Soldiers a Disgraceful Act -Mahinda

While addressing a gathering at the BMICH, Mahinda Rajapakshe said, that during his governing period, in respect of pension payment to disable soldiers, a Cabinet paper was submitted and approved.

But now water cannon and tear gas attack was made on disable soldiers, who requested the Government to grant pension.  This act of the Government is disgraceful and he regretted for this.

Further he said, Election Commissioner is relating different stories at different times. His stories are disgusting. When questions were raised on AAVA group, they jokingly answer it by saying that they came (AAVA)   and went (GIYA). They don’t consider this as a serious problem. New Party is formed according to the need of the public. Sometimes this new party support the Joint Opposition.
