The body of an elderly woman has been found at a wooded property containing cinnamon trees in the Annasigala area in Uragasmanhandiya.
The deceased has been identified as a 90-year-old resident of the area, Police stated.
The discovery was made following information received from residents in the area, who had stumbled upon the boy.
The cause of death is yet to be ascertained while the remains have been placed at the Elpitiya Hospital for the post mortem examination.
Police are investigating into the death.
