Earful Advise to Srilanka Chinese Envoy who Expressed Regret

 

Chinese Envoy made adverse remarks on Ravi Karunanayake regarding loans granting to Srilanka. Srilankan Medias have blown it out of proportion alleged Chinese Envoy to express Srilanka’s concern over this matter.

In the meantime Srilanka Foreign Ministry was ready to summon the Chinese Envoy to the foreign ministry about the statement made by him. But the Prime Minister instructed the foreign Secretary not to summon him but to call him over the phone.

When Chinese envoy was contacted over the phone, the foreign Secretary has advised the Chinese Envoy not to discuss matters concerning the country with the media, instead to contact the state direct if there is anything to be sought out. Chinese Envoy has expressed that if his remarks had made any inconvenience to Minister Ravi Karunanayake and the Government, he regraded for it. Matters ends well there.
