Eastern Chief Minister Insists Immediate Arrest of Notorious Batticaloa Chief Monk?

Batticaloa Mangalaramaya Chief Buddhist Monk Ampittiya Sumanaratne Thero is issuing communalistic statements against minorities and keep on threatening government officers, Tamils and Muslims in the areas. Government officers who initiated legal action against his notorious activities, damaging the coexistence among different communities was threatened by him. He has become a law to himself. Law enforcing authorities are reluctant to take steps against him. The Chief Minister   of Eastern Province issued a statement demanding immediate arrest of Batticaloa Mangalaramaya Chief Buddhist Monk.
 Even Batticaloa TNA Member of Parliament Vijayalendran too condemned the activities of the Buddhist Monk, who under cover of a “Monk” do all illegal activities in the district. He forcibly enters meetings arranged by the Divisional Secretary and create trouble there. He acquires land belonged to Tamils forcibly.   He obstructs public officers from performing their duties and attack them. Using un parliamentary words against them is the order of the day.
He demanded immediate action from the good governance government. Another TNA MP Srineshan too condemned the act of this Buddhist Monk. There is wide spread demonstration being carried out against this Buddhist Monk in Batticaloa.
