Weather Forecast For 18 th November 2016

An atmospheric disturbance in the Bay of Bengal still persists to the southeast of Sri Lanka. Under the influence of the above system cloudy skies and showery conditions are expected to enhance during next few days, particularly in the Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Western, Eastern and  Uva provinces.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Northern, North-central, Eastern, Uva and Southern provinces.

Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly after 2.00 p.m.

Heavy falls (about 100mm) can be expected at some places, particularly in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Eastern, Southern and Uva provinces.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces during the morning.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
