Agreed Minimum Fine for Six Traffic Violations?

A discussion was held between the Transport Minister, Finance Minister and Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association Chairman, Gemunu Wijeratne today. After the discussion, it was agreed to impose a fine of Rs.25, 000 for the following traffic violations.

1. Over Speed

2. Drunken driving

3. Driving without licence

4. Driving without valid insurance

5. Ignoring Railway crossing signals and cross

6. Violating road middle white line
