Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera yesterday said, that successive governments have backed the Palestinian cause and that policy has not changed. “Sri Lanka’s principled support for Palestine remains,” he stressed.
The foreign minister recalled that Sri Lanka has supported Palestine in the international forum including the UN.
Samaraweera made this observation in the parliament, and added that Sri Lanka-Palestine relations were strong as ever.
