Will Mahinda Get SLFP Leadership Again?

Boralesgamuwa K.DAruna Priysantha and Mathegoda Asanga Rangana Srinath have filed a case in the Colombo District Court requesting to appoint former President Mahinda Rajapakshe as the Leader of the SLFP.

This writ will be taken for inquiry before the Colombo District Court Judge U.N.V. Gunawardena on 14th of December 2016.

SLFP General Secretary Duminda Dissnayake and Chairman of the Election Commission, Mahinda Deshapriya have been named as respondents. Writ application states that the General Secretary had made a mistake in sending a letter to the Election Commission to appoint a Leader to the Party.

President Maithreepala Sirisena is functioning as the Leader of the SLFP now.
