Controversial Lion Beer Recommenced Production

Lion Brewery Ceylon PLC and Ceylon Brewery  Holdings Industry beer manufacturing factory located at Biyagama went under recent flood causing much damages to machinery  and beer stock. In order to ensure smooth supply of beer to the market, Finance Minister , Ravi Karunanayake making use of the power vested in him waived off certain customs duty on imports   made by them. Ravi came under attack for this act and  complaints lodged in various forums  by anti corruption and opposition party men.

Defunct  Biyagama beer manufacturing  complex has been restored and now working on full capacity to meet country’s beer  demand , announces Lion Brewery Ceylon PLC.
