New Law to Fix Minimum Salary of Journalists

Minister of Mass Media Gayantha Karunathilaka  said  today, while introducing  Right to Information Act in India   minimum salaries of  journalist  was   fixed.

Srilanka  will follow the suit.  In this connection  , a bill will be introduced in the parliament  to enact  a law. To establish  Independent  Press  Commission, cabinet approval  would have been obtained.
