Threat to Masthan MP on FB

An  Australian national  had threatened UPFA Vavuniya   MP Kadar Masthan  in relation to his address in Parliament on Budget 2017 proposals under the expenditure heads of the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, expressed ethnic hatred on Face book and had violated his parliamentary privileges.
He  claimed that an individual identifying himself as a UN official had threatened him via Facebook.

“He has projected ethnic hatred. The threat and harassment by this so-called UN officer from Australia violates my privileges as a Member of Parliament and he has poked his nose into the affairs of a sovereign and democratic country. I see this as a threat to Parliament and to the country,” he said.
