Mahinda Breaths Fire in Granting Powers to Chief Ministers

In recent weeks, TNA was debating to demand reduction of powers vested with the Governors . They wanted more powers to Chief Ministers. Governors in Provincial Council execute the powers given by the President. Indian Governors can dissolve State Law Assembly of any state in India. But in Srilanka , it cannot be done . This is dangerous to our unitary state concept, he concluded.
