Bandula Gunawardena Demanded Education Minister Portfolio to Join the Government

Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha former Chairman Indika Koralage disclosed that UPFA MP Bandula Gunawardena then wanted the portfolio of Education Minister as a condition to join the ‘good governance’ government. If he had been given the ministry, he would now be in the government, Koralage added.

He told media that Gunawardena has told him, that he had made this request after he was removed as Homagama SLFP organizer.

Koralage blamed Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila and other non – SLFP politicians in the Joint Opposition for trying to destroy the SLFP.
