Weather Forecast For 2nd January 2017

Several spells of light showers will occur in the Eastern, Uva and Southern provinces. A few showers are likely at Northern and North-central provinces. Showers or thundershowers will occur in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces and in the Galle and Matara district after 02.00p.m.

Fairly strong winds can be expected in the Southern half of the country.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
