Sinhalese Misinterpret Federalism as Separation – Wicky
NPC Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran has under taken a foreign trip to Canada to sign a double city agreement . There he met journalists . When a journalist questioned him as the Government has ruled out federalism, what is the next alternative to Tamils? In response he said, that majority of the Sinhalese people are in a frame of mind that federalism means separation . So first of all they should be educated on this before trying to find solution for ethnic problem.
The agreement combining Canadian Markam City and Srilanka’s Mullaithievu will be signed on Thaipongal day, 14th January 2017. This will pave way for Tamil business magnates to come and invest in Mullaithievu to develop it.
