Transfer Cases of Political Prisoners From Colombo to Maharaga Court to be Stopped – Sumanthiran

Thirty eight (38 ) Tamil prisoner’s cases scheduled to be taken up in  Colombo Court No 8 said to be transferred to Maharagama. This step will inconvenience lawyers appearing on behalf of suspects  and suspects who are kept in prison for a long time unreasonably.

TNA  Parliamentarian MP  M.A. Sumanthiran said, that he will take steps to stop this transfer. He is  scheduled to meet the Secretary Ministry of Justice and other relevant officials  in this connection today.
