Thajudeen Murder: DSG Requested Colombo Additional Magistrate to Hand Over the CCTV Footage…..

When the murder case of National rugby player Wasim Thajudeen  was taken up for hearing today, Deputy Solicitor General Dilantha Ratnayake requested the Colombo Additional Magistrate to hand over the CCTV footage obtained in the Narahenpita area on the day of the murder to be handed over to the University of Colombo for inspections.

The Colombo Additional Magistrate Jerome Trotsky declared his consent to the request.

In the meantime , Former Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Anura Senanayake and Former Officer in Charge of the Crimes Unit of the Narahenpita Police Sumith Perera arrested in connection with the murder case have been further remanded till the 2nd of February 2017.

The order was issued by Colombo Additional Magistrate Jerome Trotsky today.
