Weather Forecast For 25th January 2017

Showery and windy conditions are expected to continue over the country and adjacent sea areas. Showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island.

Heavy showers (more than 100mm) are likely at some places, particularly in the Eastern province and south-western part of the country.

Fairly strong winds at times (about 40-50kmph) can be expected over the country.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
