Seven Buddha Emerges From Trincomalee Sea

Fishermen  fishing   in  deep sea  in front of Thirukoneshwaram   Hindu Temple at Trincomalee  came across  certain parts of  lord Buddha statues.  Followed by this,  seven Buddha statues were recovered  yesterday(26).

The Statues which were said to be of Myanmar origin were handed over to the Jeya Sumanarama Temple at Trincomalee.

It is relevant to mention that some vandals had broken and removed Buddhist statues in the recent past in Trincomalee.
