Registrar of Persons Issued 2 NICs on the Same Numbers

Two National Identity cards bearing the same numbers were issued by the registrar of persons to two individuals from Kithulgale and the other from another area.

Kithulgale women has gone to a bank to open an account in the year 2014. Officials informed her that this identity card number was issued and registered in the name of another person. Subsequently she has go to the registrar of persons and submitted two letters in this connection. Bank officials informed the other woman in whose name   this identity card number was registered.

Both women have appealed to the registrar of persons to resolve their NIC issues and enable them to carry out bank transactions smoothly.
