Necessary precautions were taken to bring her safely.
Special arrangements were made for her ground and air transport in India and in Egypt. Dr Aparna Govil and Dr Kamlesh Bohra travelled with Eman to ensure that she was in a stable condition and comfortable throughout the journey, said Dr Muffazal Lakdawala who is her doctor.
EgyptAir made sure that a special bed/cot was created (by local Egyptian artisans) which was required to ensure the safety of Eman while she was traveling.
Equipment required in case of an emergency, such as a portable ventilator, a portable defibrillator, oxygen cylinders, intubating laryngoscope and other safety drugs, were are also present.
Later in the day, she landed in Mumbai. Officials then loaded the specially designed bed of Eman on an open truck, which was escorted by an ambulance and police to Saifee Hospital, where she will undergo her bariatric surgery which is a stomach-shrinking bypass procedure carried out on those wanting to shed excessive weight.
Officials from the hospital also said that Eman was safely brought to the hospital and soon an extensive line of treatment will continue for the next six months including several surgeries.
