A Report on Duminda’s Medical Condition By Special Medical Board….
Duminda Silva was charged for not declaring assets and liabilities for three consecutive years. When the case was taken up on 26th January 2017, Prison authorities told the court that, he was not produced because of his deteriorating medical condition. The Magistrate ordered the Colombo Chief legal medical officer to produced him before a Medical Board comprised of specialists and report back .
When the case was taken up today (13), the Colombo Magistrate Court ordered the Director of the government hospital, Dr. Anil Jeyasinghe to appoint a medical board of specialists, obtain a report from them and submit to the court on 28th February 2017.
