Is the Government Attempt to Ban Face Book

In reply to a question asked by a Journalist  during yesterday’s press conference  at the Department of Information, cabinet Spokesman cum Media Minister Gayantha Karunathilake said, that the Government is considering  regulating social media .  It is the states  obligation to ensure  gainful utility of the social media  for the benefit of the people .  The Government has no idea of  either to control or ban social media  including Face book , he concluded.
