Weather Forecast For 18th February 2017
The showery condition is expected to enhance from 18th of February evening, particularly in the southern half of the island.
Several spells of showers will occur in the Eastern, Uva and North-central provinces and in the Hambantota district.
Showers or thundershowers are likely at a few places in the Sabaragamuwa province and in the Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 pm.
Fairly strong gusty winds are expected over the country (up to 40-50kmph) and surrounding sea areas (up to 60kmph).
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
