NFF Request to Remain Independent in Parliament to be Decided After Party Leaders Meeting

In yesterday’s Parliamentary sittings the NFF leader MP Wimal Weerawansa asked the speaker Karu Jayasuriya that whether their request made in April 2016  to  operate  NFF MPs was approved and asked the current position. Wimal Weerawansa reiterated  that ,NFF five MPs will function as a separate group in Parliament. Further he said,   that the NFF  has left the UPFA  and has nothing to do with it in future.  He asked the speaker  to recognize  NFF group as a separate  entity in Parliament.  This Speaker responded saying that a decision will be taken leisurely after discussing  his request  with the party leaders.
