Weather Forecast For 2nd March 2017

Due to an atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka the prevailing showery condition is expected to continue during next few days (particularly during 2^nd to 4^th  March).

Fairly strong winds at times can be expected over the island and surrounding sea area.

Cloudy skies along with showers or thundershowers can be expected at times over most parts of the country.Heavy showers (above 100 mm) are also likely at some places, especially in the Eastern, Uva, Northern and North-central provinces.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
