A New Political Party Formed by Rehabilitated LTTE Cadres

A group of rehabilitated LTTE cadres have launched a political party with the aim of winning their rights.

They said,  they launched this party in Sampur on Friday (3).  They said, they had registered the party  under the name ‘Rehabilitated Tamil Liberation Tiger Party’.  More than 30 rehabilitated LTTE cadres were present during launching.  Chairman elect Kandasamy Inbarasa, said,  that this party was launched with a membership of 12,000 rehabilitated Tamil Tiger cadres.  The need to form a party arose because  rehabilitated LTTE cadres had  not received any assistance up to now and large number of members were living with physical injuries and some were still in prison. Tamil National Alliance does not talk about us. We did not begin this political campaign against them. We believed in them and now we have been deceived. We have formed this party  in an attempt to obtain our rights .That is why they were joining the political stream.
