A special discussion will be held between members of the Sri Lanka Station Master’s Union and Minister of Transport Nimal Siripala De Silva today(6) at 2pm at the Ministry of Transport, The Station Masters’ Union said.
The Union said it will withdraw from launching the trade union action scheduled to commence at midnight tomorrow if the Union’s concerns are addressed through the discussion.
The General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Station Master’s Union Indika Ruwan Pathiranage said the Union would carry on the trade union action as planned if the discussion is postponed.
He said the unions has been given the opportunity to hold discussions with the Minister at 2pm and tomorrow the union has a discussion with the Station Master at 10.30am.The Union has hope that a fruitful discussion will be held with the Minister as it’s demands could be considered and solved.
