Efforts Under Way by a Systematic Group to Hinder the Country’s National Security – Rathana Thera

Parliamentarian Venerable Athuraliye Rathana Thera while addressing  a media briefing in Colombo said,  efforts are under way by a systematic group to hinder the country’s national security. The President and Prime Minister direct their attention to the matter.

He said the country’s Intelligence Unit is an agency which is the country’s security should be kept secretive and inconspicuous.

 He added at present national security as a whole is being destroyed in an organized manner and the country will be left destitute.

Rathana Thera says in such a situation there are a few people who seek to destroy intelligence agencies and take the country back to the era where non-governmental organisations benefit.

He requests the President and Prime Minister to put an end to this situation.
