Spoilt Rice Selling Trader Nabbed

On a Direction given  by the Minister of  Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen  Consumer Protection  has raided a wholesale trade center in Colombo 12 and detected  selling spoilt Keeri sampa rice  worth 10 lakhs.  The detection was made by the Consumer Protection officials, who found  the spoilt rice in 313 gunny bags containing 25 kg each. Further they found these particular Keeri Sampa rice  packed in 10 and 5 gunny bags. In addition they found 30 kg empty  capacity  gunny bags and a machine used for packing.

He will produce before the court.
