IUSF Protest Despite Court Order Ended in Arrest of 4 Students

IUSF has  organized  a protest rally  to register their protest  for not  inviting them  for the talk  held with the President at the  Presidential Secretariat yesterday. GMOA members  and UGC representatives  participated in this discussion.
Earlier, yesterday police obtained a court order preventing the protest demonstration by the students and its document was handed over to the students who tore it into pieces.
Despite the court order the march commenced at University of the Visual and Performing Arts, Colombo, and ended near the Presidential Secretariat.
When they tried  to overturn   the barricade, the police used water canon and tear gas to disperse  them. As a result three students were hospitalized with injuries. Followed by this, four students who participated in the protest march were arrested yesterday.
