Basil Indicted for Causing loss of Rs 29.4 Million

The Case against Former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa was taken before Colombo High Court Judge Gihan Kulatunga this morning(15).

Basil Rajapaksa was served indictment today(15) for causing  a loss of Rs 29.4 million to the government for printing propaganda almanacs which carried the photographs of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa during the previous presidential election.

In the meantime, the Judge released the suspect on one hundred thousand cash bail and two surety bails of 500 thousand each.
