Dogs Ordinance to be Amended to Impose Fine of Rs 25,000 & 2 years Imprisonment

Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government Faizer Mustafa has made a proposal  to amend  Dogs Ordinance No 25 of 1901 to enable  authorities concerned to impose a fine of Rs 25,000 and  2 years imprisonment.  The cabinet of Ministers has approved this proposal yesterday.

Faizer Mustafa is  to instruct the Legal Draftsman to amend the above ordinance to make provisions to increase the fine on owners of stray dogs to Rs. 25000 and the imprisonment to 02 years.
