In Matale & Kandy AH1N1 Virus Caused 15 Deaths

Director of Health Services for the Central Province, Dr. Shanthi Samarasinghe said,  five persons have lost their lives due to AH1N1 virus in the Matale District. Twelve persons in the Central Province has died  due to  AH1N1 virus in the first three months of this year,

The total number of persons diagnosed with the Influenza AH1N1 virus over the course of this year, stands at 115.

Forty of the 115 diagnosed patients are residents of the District of Kandy while, 23 of them are from the District of Matale.
