Interviews Called For New Political Parties For Registration

The Elections Commission said,  interviews have been called for approved applications submitted by political parties for registration at the Elections Commission.

Elections Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya said 95 new political parties have submitted applications for registration.

He said the commission has decided to call interviews for the relevant political parties separately.

Accordingly these interviews will be carried out from today till the 22nd of April and from the 26th to the 28th of April2017 .

He further said,  all interviews have been concluded the Elections Commission will call a meeting in order to reach final decision on approved political parties.
