It is a legal requirement under the Monetary Law Act, the Central Bank should inform the Finance Minister the total revenue and expenditure for the corresponding year of the country before 30th April 2017 of the following year. This report should include the economic vision for the country, obstacles to such vision, economic forecasts and goals are included in this report.
In accordance with this requirement, 67th annual report of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka for the year 2016 was handed over to Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake by CB Governor Dr. Indrajith Coomaraswamy yesterday (26) at the Ministry of Finance.
