Bangladesh in focus at the ICC Champions Trophy

The ICC Champions Trophy 2017 in England and Wales will be Bangladesh’s first outing at the tournament in over a decade.

They made their competition debut in 2000, but failed to make it to the main tournament after losing to England in a preliminary quarter-final.

Across preliminary qualifiers and full tournament games, Bangladesh have played eight games at the ICC Champions Trophy, and have been victorious just once, when they beat Zimbabwe in their most recent appearance in 2006.

Ahead of this summer’s edition – where they’ll be desperate to add to their one victory – we’ve looked at their star men at previous Champions Trophy tournaments.

In terms of appearances, two men have played in every single one of Bangladesh’s eight games at the ICC Champions Trophy – Khaled Mashud and Mohammad Rafique

As a side, Bangladesh’s best score came in 2006 against Sri Lanka, when they racked up 265/9. However, it wasn’t enough to chase down Sri Lanka’s total of 302
