Free of Charge Treatment At Neville Fernando Hospital Today

Island wide strike action launched by the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) along with 121 trade unions against SAITM   is in force today .

In a statement yesterday SAITM said,  the Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital would open its Out Patient Department (OPD) to the general public, free of charge today , in view of the Island wide strike action launched by the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA).

The decision was taken to assist  the public , in the wake of today’s strike action by the GMOA, which crippled the Healthcare Services of the country, particularly in the OPD units of state hospitals.
