Implementation of R2I Praised by World Bank

At a meeting held yesterday with Parliament Reforms and Mass Media Minister Gayantha Karunathilaka and Equitable Growth Finance and Institution Vice President Jan Walliser of the World Bank, in Colombo, he said that the RTI Commission were praised by the World Bank for implementing the Right to Information Act in Sri Lanka within a short period of time.

At the meeting, steps  taken by the Government to implement the Act and the contribution which should be made by the World Bank was discussed.
