I Didn’t Sell Vehicle Permits to Outsiders – Mahinda Amaraweera

UPFA General Secretary Minister Mahinda Amaraweera while addressing a public meeting in Weeraketiya said, that he can’t remember the last time he  imported a vehicle.  But  I am  certain   that  I didn’t sell my vehicle to outside parties.

 Ministers imported vehicles throughout  irrespective of  parties they belonged . There was wide spread talk  in the society about ministers importing luxury vehicles.

I have no objections on ministers using good vehicles. I am not saying that they should travel by bus. Ministers should enjoy their privileges. But, they should deliver results.

On the contrarily they transfer  vehicles to outsiders   after importing it and  they utilize alternate  transport  in their official duties.
