An Individual Nabbed With Worth Rs 1.8 Million Cigarettes

An individual a resident of Colombo has been arrested at the Katunayake Airport by the Sri Lanka Customs for trying to illegally smuggle a stock of cigarettes worth Rs 1.8 million into the country from Kuwait.

Deputy Customs Director Parakrama Basnayake said,  that the stock of cigarettes has been confiscated by the Customs officials.

He had been fined an amount of Rs 100,000.
