Jaffna to be Converted a Strategic Town

Minister of Megapolis and Western Regional Development Patali Champika Ranawaka said, that the project to convert Jaffna into a strategic town is under way and  will be implemented this year.

Minister met representatives of the Jaffna population, various Independence Organizations yesterday to know their views on this strategic project.

Minister has informed them due to war situation  there were obstacles were developments. After the year 1980 natural development has been completely crippled.
