Flood Death Toll Rises to 180

As a result of devastating flood  the death toll  said to have been risen to 180. Highest number of 77 person’s death have been reported from Ratnapura district. Death of 54 and 24 persons have been reported from Kalutara and Matara  districts respectively.

A total of  588,082 persons have been affected by the extreme  weather. While 640 houses have been completely destroyed, 5329 houses reported to  have been partly  damaged.

According to latest communiqué issued by the Disaster Management Centre 109 persons have been injured, whilst 110 persons have been reported missing.
