Possibility for heavy rain and strong winds will reduce by today.

Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected over the country (These windy conditions are especially expected over the Southern province and Matale, Trincomalee and Polonnaruwa districts).

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Central provinces and in the Puttalam district.

Showers or thundershowers may occur in the Uva province and Batticaloa, and Ampara districts particularly in the afternoon.
