School Necessities Will be Provided With All Requirements to Flood Affected Students

Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said, students who lost uniforms, text books and other school necessities in the disaster situation will be provided with all requirements.

Speaking to media at the Presidential Secretariat, Minister Kariyawasam said,  that the Department has stocks of official school uniform material.

He stated it has been decided to provide material for three uniforms along with shoes to children affected by the disaster.

He further added text books and exercise books will also be provided, noting all government schools will function as collection points for such.
