Heavy Rain to be Expected in Ratnapura, Kalutara, Kegalle Today

Heavy rains of about 75mm will be expected in Ratnapura, Kalutara and Kegalle districts in particular today(1), the Meteorology Department said.

It said that while showers may occur at times in Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Western and Central provinces, showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in other provinces particularly in the afternoon.

Fairly strong winds of about 70 kmph will also be expected especially over the Southern province and Matale, Pollonnaruwa districts.
