A Case Filed Against Former Directors of SLRC
On compliant received by Bribery Commission, it has investigated an incident , where two former Directors of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) was responsible for entering into an agreement with a foreign agency without calling tenders.
To telecast programmes of the National Television to Middle East and Europe countries through satellite technology during the period , December 16th 2014 to 15th January 2015 , the SLRC had entered into an agreement with the ‘’Nova Vision Satellite ‘’ without calling tenders and caused loss of Rs 3,454,279.
In this connection Bribery Commission has filed a case in the Colombo Magistrate Court today (2) against two former Directors of SLRC, Chandrabala and Wimalasena Rubasinghe for causing above loss
Notice was issued by Colombo Magistrate Court today asking them to appear before court on 7th July 2017.
