OMP Amendments To Be Taken up For Debate in Parliament On June

Last year the Office of Missing Persons (OMP) Act No. 14 of 2016 was passed in Parliament. However, amendment  to Section 11 of the OMP Act was moved  by Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) MP Bimal Ratnayake and agreed by the Cabinet.

At the party leaders meeting concluded a short while ago, it was agreed  to take the said  amendment  for debate in Parliament on June 22.
